Job summary

The Learning Experience – River Vale, NJ is seeking a devoted Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday. The role offers $17–$19 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

You will lead a warm, developmentally appropriate toddler classroom, support feeding, diapering, naps, and daily routines, and foster cognitive, language, and social-emotional growth while maintaining classroom records and strong family communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Professional childcare or early childhood education experience required.
• Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Lead Teacher experience is a plus.
• CDA or ECE coursework is a plus, but not required.
• Familiar with New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging toddler classroom.
• Provide attentive, responsive care throughout the day.
• Support feeding, diapering, nap, and daily routines.
• Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiences.
• Encourage cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
• Observe developmental progress and celebrate milestones.
• Maintain classroom records and daily communication.
• Build relationships and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and center leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom.
• Follow New Jersey licensing, health, and safety requirements.
