Job summary

The Learning Experience #175 in East Rutherford, NJ is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to guide our toddler classroom and shape early development in a fun, safe environment. You will plan curriculum, monitor progress, and communicate with families.

Ideal candidate holds an Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education with 1–2 years of licensed childcare experience, and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). This on-site role offers growth and a nurturing team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in licensed childcare or early education setting.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans for toddlers.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports early childhood development.
• Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily activities.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides.
• Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare safety standards.
• Incorporate social-emotional learning, language development, and sensory play into daily routines.
