The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle in New York, NY is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to launch and lead a brand-new Toddler classroom. You will establish routines, foster a welcoming learning environment, and build strong relationships with new families alongside a supportive teaching team.

Ideal candidates have strong early childhood experience, are confident leaders, and will guide the classroom from the ground up while ensuring developmental milestones and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• High School Diploma/GED plus at least 5 years of relevant early childhood experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the opening and day-to-day operation of a new Toddler classroom
• Create a safe, nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment
• Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Plan developmentally appropriate hands-on learning experiences
• Encourage language, independence, movement, and social-emotional development
• Establish consistent classroom routines and positive behavior guidance
• Observe children's development and support individual milestones
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Guide and collaborate with your Assistant Teacher
• Maintain classroom documentation, organization, and safety standards
• Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education

Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

High School Diploma/GED plus at least 5 years of relevant early childhood experience
