The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle in New York, NY is hiring a Lead Toddler Teacher to open and lead a brand-new Toddler classroom. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly pay and opportunities for growth within a supportive teaching team.

You will establish routines, create a welcoming learning environment, and build strong relationships with new families while guiding an Assistant Teacher and ensuring program quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in ECE; or CDA; or HS diploma with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Strong classroom leadership and relationship-building with families.
• Ability to implement LEAP curriculum and plan activities.
• Commitment to safety, developmentally appropriate practice, and NYC childcare rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead opening and daily operation of a new Toddler classroom.
• Create a safe, nurturing, structured, engaging learning environment.
• Plan developmentally appropriate hands-on learning experiences.
• Foster language, independence, movement, and social-emotional growth.
• Maintain routines, document progress, and ensure safety standards.
• Collaborate with Assistant Teacher and communicate with families.
• Follow NYC childcare requirements.
