Job summary

The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle in New York, NY is opening a new Toddler classroom and seeks a caring and energetic Toddler Assistant Teacher to join the teaching team.

You will support daily activities, meals, transitions, and help toddlers build independence, language, and social skills while following NYC childcare requirements. Full-time, Monday–Friday with opportunities for growth and paid training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience with children is preferred.
• Toddler/daycare/preschool experience is a plus.
• Patient, dependable, nurturing and energetic with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Lead Teacher to create a nurturing Toddler classroom.
• Support daily learning activities, play, art, music, sensory experiences, and outdoor time.
• Encourage language, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and classroom transitions.
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance.
• Help establish consistent routines as the classroom grows.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements.

Location: The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle, New York, NY

Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle is growing! We're opening a new Toddler classroom and are looking for a caring and energetic Toddler Assistant Teacher to join the teaching team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a classroom from the very beginning, helping create a warm, engaging environment where toddlers can explore, build independence, develop language, and form their first friendships.
