Job summary

The Goddard School in Cary, NC is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher for our One-Year-Old Classroom. You will guide developmentally appropriate activities, build strong relationships with families, and ensure a safe, nurturing learning environment.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with a competitive compensation package and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; NC licensing rules apply.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in licensed childcare or similar setting.
• Meets North Carolina Lead Teacher qualifications; NC Education Points preferred.
• Strong classroom leadership, communication, and relationship skills.
• Ability to meet licensing requirements and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities using the curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment for one-year-olds.
• Support social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
• Document progress and communicate regularly with families.
• Collaborate with partners and school leadership; ensure health and licensing compliance.
