Job summary

The Goddard School in Morrisville, NC is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to join our caring team and lead developmentally appropriate lessons using our Wonder of Learning curriculum. You will create a nurturing environment and collaborate with a supportive staff to foster young children’s growth.

You will build strong relationships with families, participate in ongoing professional development, and ensure safe, engaging daily activities aligned with licensing standards in a licensed childcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with young children in a licensed setting preferred.
• State-required pre-service training completed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities using the Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain open, positive communication with families about progress.
• Uphold health, safety, and licensing standards during all activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Observe and document children's learning to inform activities for families.

Education

High school diploma

Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred

CDA preferred

1-2 years of experience with young children

Pre-service training required by state
