The Goddard School located at 2385 Kildaire Farm Road Cary, NC 27518 is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Toddler Teacher to join our One-Year-Old Classroom.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Teacher who can lead a classroom, build strong family relationships, and create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young toddlers. We offer competitive compensation and invest in educators with credentials and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Teacher, Preschool Teacher, Toddler Teacher, Childcare Teacher, or Early Childhood Educator in a licensed childcare setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to independently lead a classroom.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a valid NC Qualifying Letter.
• Ability to meet North Carolina childcare licensing requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with the care of children.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate:

• Has at least 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, daycare, or early learning program
• Meets North Carolina Lead Teacher qualifications
• Has 7+ NC Education Points preferred
• Demonstrates strong classroom leadership and management skills
• Understands child development and developmentally appropriate practices
• Builds positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Is dependable, professional, and committed to excellence in early childhood education

• CDA Credential
• North Carolina Early Childhood Credential

• Previous Lead Teacher experience
• Experience working with one-year-olds

Compensation

Compensation is based on education, credentials, NC Early Childhood Education points, relevant experience, and demonstrated classroom leadership.

Highly qualified candidates with 7+ NC Education Points, CDA credentials, Early Childhood Education coursework or degrees, and successful Lead Teacher experience in a licensed childcare setting may qualify for the top end of our pay range.
