Job summary

Premier Preschool in South Bend, IN is seeking a caring, nurturing Lead Teacher to join our premier preschool for full-time, year-round work with children aged 1 to 3 years. Comfort with diapering and toilet training is required.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, at least one year of licensed ECE experience, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Background check eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or related field.
• One year of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility.
• Must meet background check eligibility.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum and maintain educational portfolios
• Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom
• Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
• Communicate with parents about their child's progress and concerns
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
