Job summary

Child Care Resources Inc is seeking a dynamic and caring Lead Toddler Teacher to lead our toddler program on a full-time basis in Wisconsin. The role offers a flexible schedule within 5:30am-5:30pm, Monday–Friday, with training provided for the right candidate.

You will create a nurturing, developmental program, collaborate with parents and staff, and ensure a safe, engaging classroom. Minimum education and certifications are required, with ongoing professional development and opportunities in

Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Development, or completed the listed courses.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willing to obtain within 6 months.
  • Complete 15 hours of continuing education annually from start.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a daily program for toddlers respecting developmental stages.
  • Ensure safety and well-being in a nurturing environment.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy classroom and promote growth.
  • Respect each child’s dignity, individuality and sense of belonging.
  • Help children develop eating, dressing, napping and hygiene routines.
  • Communicate with parents through conferences and involve them in the program.
  • Support growth of assistant teachers, aides, volunteers and other staff.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Keep equipment and materials accessible, safe and well-maintained.
  • Perform various tasks to maintain a smooth classroom flow.
  • Prepare and distribute a monthly newsletter to parents.

Education

Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Development
CPR and First Aid certification
Introduction to the Child Care Profession course

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and caring individual to lead our toddler program as a full-time Lead Toddler Teacher. The successful candidate will be available to work a flexible schedule between 5:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday. While experience in a daycare setting is a plus, we are eager to train the right person. To be eligible for this role, candidates must be at least 18 years old.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement a daily program that promotes learning and growth for our toddlers, taking into account their individual needs and developmental stages.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children in your care, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters children's growth and development.
  • Respect the dignity and individuality of each child, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
  • Help children develop essential habits and skills, such as eating, dressing, napping, and personal hygiene.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through Parent Teacher Conferences, seeking their input and involvement in the child development program.
  • Support the growth and development of assistant teachers, aides, volunteers, and other childcare personnel in the classroom.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to stay up-to-date on best practices.
  • Ensure that equipment and materials are accessible, suitable, and well-maintained.
  • Perform various tasks and duties as assigned to maintain a smooth and efficient classroom environment.
  • Prepare and distribute a monthly newsletter to keep parents informed and engaged.
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have completed high school or an equivalent certification.
  • Hold an Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Development, or have completed the Introduction to the Child Care Profession and Skills & Strategies for the Child Care Teacher courses.
  • Be CPR and First Aid certified, or be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of assuming the position.
  • Complete 15 hours of continuing education annually, starting from the first year of employment.
