Job summary

Tew & Taylor is a Florida-licensed private provider firm expanding its structural inspection capability across residential and commercial projects statewide. We seek a qualified Threshold (Special) Inspector to lead this work, with field and office duties, and both full-time or contract arrangements.

You will prepare and seal Inspection Plans, perform threshold inspections statewide, and coordinate with plans examiners and officials. A Florida P.E.

Qualifications

• Active Florida P.E. license in good standing in structural engineering.
• Special Inspector eligibility per FBPE criteria: 3 years of threshold field inspection, 2 years of design experience.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites within the region.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, seal, and administer Structural Inspection Plans as Engineer of Record where applicable.
• Perform structural field inspections on threshold buildings per plan and Florida Building Code 110.8.1.
• Coordinate with plans examiners, building officials, contractors, and engineers of record.
• Review structural components for code compliance and document findings.
