Tew & Taylor is seeking a qualified Threshold (Special) Inspector for structural inspection projects across Florida. The role includes preparing and sealing inspection plans and performing field inspections on various buildings.

With a competitive salary of $135,000 to $160,000, the position offers flexible work including hybrid field/office arrangements. Responsibilities encompass structural compliance reviews and collaboration with various stakeholders within the engineering sector.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Professional Engineer license in good standing.
• Three years of verifiable structural field inspection experience on threshold buildings.
• Working knowledge of the Florida Building Code.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and seal structural inspection plans as Engineer of Record.
• Perform structural field inspections conforming to the inspection plan.
• Coordinate with building officials, contractors, and engineers.

Skills

Active Florida Professional Engineer license

Structural field inspection experience

Knowledge of Florida Building Code

Valid Florida driver's license

Education

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
