Job summary

Tew & Taylor is expanding its structural inspection services and is seeking a qualified Threshold (Special) Inspector. This role is based in Florida and offers a hybrid work model involving both field inspections and office responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will possess an active Florida Professional Engineer license and have significant experience in structural engineering. Competitive salary ranges from $135,000 to $160,000, complemented by comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver's license and readiness to travel to project sites.
• Qualified as a Special Inspector of Threshold Buildings under Florida Board of Professional Engineers criteria.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and seal structural inspection plans as Engineer of Record.
• Perform structural field inspections on threshold buildings.
• Coordinate with plans examiners, contractors, and engineers.
• Review structural components for code compliance and document findings.

Skills

Active Florida Professional Engineer license

Structural engineering experience
