Job summary

TEW & TAYLOR is seeking a qualified Threshold (Special) Inspector to lead structural inspection services across Florida. This role involves preparing and sealing structural inspection plans as well as performing field inspections on various projects. Candidates must hold an active Florida PE license and have relevant inspection experience.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $135,000 to $160,000, flexible work arrangements, and a chance to shape a leading practice in the state's growing private provider sector.

Qualifications

• Three years of verifiable structural field inspection experience on threshold buildings.
• Two years of structural design experience on threshold buildings.
• Familiarity with Florida Building Code, Building, 8th Edition (2023).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and seal structural inspection plans as Engineer of Record.
• Perform structural field inspections on threshold buildings.
• Coordinate with plans examiners, building officials, contractors, and engineers.

Skills

Active Florida Professional Engineer license

Structural field inspection experience

Knowledge of Florida Building Code

Valid Florida driver's license

Education

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
