Job summary

Fluidstack, based in Austin, is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to own the mechanical engineering across its data-center portfolio, including cooling plants, liquid loops, and airside systems.

You will set the direct-to-chip liquid cooling reference design and make field decisions at build speed, coordinating with design firms and internal teams to deliver giga-watt scale infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Led mechanical engineering for data center or heavy industrial programs.
• Experience with liquid cooling design and hydraulic controls.
• Ability to make field engineering decisions under schedule pressure.
• Experience managing design firms with technical authority.
• Bonus: PE license; direct-to-chip cooling; modular skid packages; CFD modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical engineering across the portfolio from design to energization.
• Set reference design for direct-to-chip liquid cooling and iterate per build.
• Make field mechanical calls, route conflicts, substitutions, sequencing.
• Review consultant packages before field deployment.
