Job summary
Exponent Inc. is seeking a Manager/Managing Engineer with expertise in Mechanical Plant Systems Design, EPC Technical Services, Maintenance and Commissioning, and Combustion Equipment for our Thermal Sciences Practice in Warrenville, IL; Chicago, IL; Houston, TX; or Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications
- PhD/MS/M.Eng in Chemical, Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering with combustion, heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
- Minimum 5 years in plant engineering design, commissioning, maintenance; risk assessment.
- At least 1 year in client-facing technical consulting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct failure and root cause analyses on complex systems.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with experts across disciplines.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
- Manage projects and build client relationships.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses; plan testing programs.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations; travel likely.
