Celestica is seeking an experienced Thermal Engineer to lead designs for advanced cooling solutions in data center and high-performance computing environments. You will guide cross-functional teams from thermal modeling through testing to manufacturing, focusing on reliability and cost-effective performance.

The role requires deep expertise in liquid cooling, heat transfer, and system-level design, with a track record of leading engineers and coordinating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in thermal systems engineering, preferably with liquid cooling for high-performance computing or data centers
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, supplier management, and technology transfer
• Strong understanding of liquid cooling reliability, safety, and performance challenges

Responsibilities

• Lead designs, conduct detailed analyses, set design strategy, and join department planning.
• Guide design engineers in complete ownership of thermal design from modeling to testing and transfer to manufacturing.
• Conduct thermal simulations, postprocessing, and analysis from chip to facility level to verify feasibility and inform designs.
• Maintain awareness of heat transfer hardware and its costs, and how to incorporate into products.
• Conceive and implement ways to enhance and extend operation of heat transfer hardware.
• Consider thermal aspects of chip packaging technologies and apply best-in-class cooling methods.
• Size liquid cold plates, heat sinks, and related components; plan work to meet performance targets.
