Job summary

FII is seeking a Thermal Engineer to drive server and rack thermal management from concept through mass production. You will use advanced simulation tools and testing to validate performance and reliability across cooling strategies.

The role requires 5+ years of server data center thermal design, hands‑on liquid cooling experience, and strong collaboration with global teams. Fluency in English; Mandarin preferred; on‑site in Houston, with global R&D interactions.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/thermal/aerospace engineering with hands‑on thermal design experience.
• 5+ years of thermal design experience in server or data center products.
• Strong background in liquid cooling design (cold plate, loop, coolant, leak mitigation).
• Proficiency with thermal simulation tools and CAD software; testing experience.
• Excellent English communication; Mandarin a plus and ability to work cross‑culturally.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal management design for server and rack systems from concept to mass production.
• Perform thermal simulations and optimizations using FloTherm, Icepak, and Ansys CFD.
• Plan and execute thermal tests with environmental chambers and measurement devices.
• Analyze airflow and develop efficient cooling solutions including liquid/hybrid systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and customers to meet requirements.
