Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. is seeking a Test Technician to support and debug test processes in manufacturing at Santa Ana, CA.

The role requires evaluating and debugging to the component level, training operators, and collaborating with Test Engineers for process improvements. Qualifications include 8+ years of experience with 3+ years in a leadership role and a 2-year Engineering/Technical degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in test/quality roles
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Education: 2 year engineering or technical degree preferred, or equivalent
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficient reading electrical schematics and debug techniques

Responsibilities

• Performs debug and test assemblies to component level using schematics and block diagrams
• Maintains and upkeeps test equipment and tester systems
• Troubleshoots operator problems; collaborates with leadership on training and process improvements
• Provides training and ongoing support to Test operators
• Communicates problems to Test Engineer and leadership
• Participates in Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma continuous improvement activities
• Ensures compliance with security policies and company procedures
• Supports a 24/7 global operation as required
• Performs other duties as assigned
