Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Test Stand Build and Integration Technician to support fabrication, assembly, and integration of test stands for engine and component facilities at the Van Horn, TX site. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to lead tasks and collaborate with engineers.

You will work 16 on/12 off shifts, handle hazardous materials, and contribute to cost-saving and efficiency improvements while ensuring compliance with AS9100 quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years hands-on fabrication, build, or integration of hardware in related industries.
• Ability to work independently and in teams with a strong safety focus.
• Flexibility for varying schedules and shifts; attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Build test stand sub-assemblies (e.g., pneumatic panels).
• Integrate sub-assemblies and components to fielded test stands.
• Execute daily schedule with Ground System Development engineers; review instructions for accuracy.
• Fabrication (tube bending) and routing of tubing; welds and fittings.
• Install and checkout wiring, harnesses, instrumentation; participate in design reviews.
• Lead pre-task briefings and ensure safe work practices; oversee contractor work.
