Calqulate Metrics Ltd. is seeking an experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead its Test Engineering team in an electronics manufacturing environment in Newark, CA.

The role focuses on PCBA testing strategies, including Functional Testing, ICT, and Flying Probe Testing, while driving continuous improvement and manufacturing readiness. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in test engineering, 3+ years of leadership, and a strong track record in improving test efficiency and yields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in test engineering, preferably in EMS/PCBA/electronics manufacturing.
• 3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in PCBA Functional Testing, ICT, and Flying Probe Testing.
• Experience overseeing test program development, test fixture design, validation, and implementation.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, PCBA design, and manufacturing test methodologies.
• Experience supporting NPI, production ramp-up, yield improvement, and high-volume manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and develop engineering talent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Test Engineers with clear priorities and delivery timelines.
• Define test engineering strategies, standards, and best practices across programs.
• Manage resources and project deliverables to support production requirements and customer commitments.
• Oversee development, validation, and maintenance of PCBA testing solutions (Functional, ICT, Flying Probe).
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve test reliability and manufacturing performance.
• Drive continuous improvements in yield, test coverage, cycle time, and retest rates.
• Collaborate with NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, Design, and Program Management to ensure production readiness.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex test failures and manufacturing defects.
