Job summary

Hadrian is building autonomous factories in the United States and is expanding its Test Engineering team. As a Test Engineer, you will own the test strategy for major manufacturing programs, guiding safety, cost, and quality decisions and leading the design of test equipment and data systems.

You will supervise technicians, ensure tests meet customer specs, and deliver complete data packages while mentoring a growing team as the program scales from development to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or chemical engineering.
• 5+ years in test, launch, controls, integration, or fluid systems engineering.
• Deep pressure test experience with hydrostatic or proof tests on large hardware.
• Strong knowledge of pressure system design and relevant codes (ASME BPVC VIII, B31.3, PCC-2).
• Experience with test equipment and data acquisition systems (NI, Dewesoft, HBK).
• Proficient in Python or LabVIEW for test automation.
• Ability to travel to other sites and support occasional nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own the test strategy and plan for every program requirement.
• Interpret customer test specs and negotiate changes when needed.
• Lead the selection, purchase, and integration of test equipment; design custom pressure systems and fixtures.
• Own test safety: hazard analysis and engineering controls for every test.
• Set data collection, labeling, storage, and traceability; collaborate with controls, software, and data teams.
• Write test automation, process plans, work orders, and training materials.
• Hand each test off to production with clear acceptance criteria and trained technicians.
• Deliver a complete test data package to the customer showing compliance with requirements.
• Lead customer reviews and witness tests.
• Mentor engineers and technicians on pressure testing, test design, and safety.
• Coordinate with build engineering, factory automation, planning, production, and workforce training to keep testing in step with the build.
