Job summary

Hadrian is hiring a Test Engineer to own the test strategy and execution for a large manufacturing program focused on weldments. You will define what to test, how to test it, and why, shaping test equipment design and data systems while ensuring safety and compliance.

You'll lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with production, and mentor engineers as the program moves from development into production. This role offers growth in a high-stakes manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or chemical engineering.
• 5+ years in test, launch, controls, integration, or fluid systems engineering.
• Deep pressure test experience with hydrostatic or proof tests on large hardware.
• Design of pressure systems, P&IDs, relief sizing, stored energy, and codes.
• Experience specifying, installing, and commissioning test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Test automation in Python, LabVIEW, or similar.
• Proven ability leading test programs or cross-functional projects.
• Ability to make tradeoffs among cost, schedule, quality, and safety with teams.
• Willingness to travel to other sites and support nights/weekends for tests.

Responsibilities

• Own the test strategy and test plan for every program requirement.
• Interpret customer test specs and negotiate changes when needed.
• Lead selection, purchase, and integration of test equipment into the work center.
• Design custom pressure systems, fixtures, and data acquisition when needed.
• Own test safety: hazard analysis and safety controls.
• Set data collection and traceability requirements for program testing.
• Write test automation, process plans, and training materials.
• Hand tests off to production with clear accept/reject criteria.
• Deliver complete test data packages to customers.
• Lead customer reviews and witness tests.
• Mentor engineers and technicians on pressure testing and safety.
• Coordinate with build, factory automation, planning, and production teams.
