Job summary

Sikorsky Credit Union in Milford, CT is seeking a Lead Teller to manage the teller line and oversee daily branch operations, ensuring policy adherence and exceptional member service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience of relevant customer service and banking experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year cash handling experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of financial products and services, state and federal regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills with a keen attention to detail; must be organized, analytical and able to multitask.
• Ability to travel up to 50%. Must be available to work evenings and weekends, as well as alarm calls and ATM servicing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff under management to ensure service levels and operations meet Credit Union expectations and completes weekly branch schedules.
• Opens branch with opening teller, conducts opening responsibilities, cash audits, and ATM-related duties including balancing and holds on ATM checks.
• Balances vault, orders cash for branch, and manages cash/coin transactions and supplies.
• Backs up staff at other branch locations when needed.
• Promotes a positive work atmosphere and upholds the Credit Union’s core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity and Responsibility.
• Keeps abreast of industry developments, including regulatory changes and technology.
• Ensures adherence to company policies and Banking/Credit Union Regulations; performs additional duties as required.
