Job summary

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a Lead Teller to manage the teller line, oversee daily branch operations, and develop staff to provide exceptional member service. This role requires leadership in scheduling, compliance, and cash handling within a fast-paced credit union environment.

The Lead Teller will oversee ATM and vault operations, ensure adherence to policies, and support peak business hours, with travel to assist other branches as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework preferred.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience of relevant customer service and banking experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year cash handling experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of products and services of a financial institution, including state and federal regulations and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills with a keen attention to detail. Must be organized, analytical and able to multitask.
• Ability to travel up to 50%. Must be available to work evenings and on weekends, as well as alarm calls and ATM servicing.
• Computer experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff under the direction of management to ensure service levels and operations.
• Opens branch with opening teller, conducts opening responsibilities, cash audits and ATM duties.
• Balances vault, orders cash and manages cash shipments.
• Serves as back up to staff in different branch locations when necessary.
• Promotes a positive work atmosphere and upholds core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity and Responsibility.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and banking technology.
