Job summary

Liberty First Credit Union in Lincoln is seeking a Lead Teller to manage teller duties, assist branch leadership, and develop the Teller team while maintaining accurate cash handling and compliance.

This full-time role requires at least one year of teller experience, leadership ability, and strong interpersonal skills. The position offers competitive benefits and a wage range based on experience, with shifts Mon-Fri and occasional weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• At least one year teller experience preferred.
• Ability to handle escalated and complex teller duties and member interactions.
• Internal candidates should have completed Level One of the Liberty First Credit Union Teller Development Program.
• Some leadership experience preferred. Ability to lead others, train and develop staff, and provide effective feedback.
• Intermediate mathematical skills and basic accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions for deposits, loans, money orders, and checks with accuracy.
• Sell money orders, cashier checks, gift cards, and redeem savings bonds.
• Assist with account on-boarding, loans, and various teller responsibilities.
• Open and close day procedures; monitor holds and prevent fraud.
• Support branch leadership with escalated member needs and staff coaching.
