Job summary

DuTrac Community Credit Union in Pleasant Valley Township, IA, seeks a Lead Teller to provide exceptional member service, oversee teller operations, and support branch goals. The role focuses on accurate cash handling, vault management, and coaching staff.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Teller experience or similar retail experience.
• Available to work varied hours Mon-Fri 8:00–5:30 PM and rotating Saturdays.
• Excellent member service and ability to explain credit union services.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular Teller duties: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments.
• Manages vault transactions and maintains cash levels; balances ATM.
• Oversees teller line and assists staff with questions or problems.
• Welcomes members, determines needs, and provides routine information on services; refers and cross-sells.
• Assists with opening and closing procedures.
• Schedules, trains, and monitors tellers; provides input on performance.

As a Lead Teller, your knowledge and member service skills will provide you the opportunity to assist our members in the following areas:

1. Performs regular Teller duties, receiving, processing, and posting member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
2. Manages vault transactions and maintains sufficient cash levels; balances ATM; replenishes ATM and cash dispense machines.
3. Assists Teller staff with problems and questions; provides oversightto teller line.
4. Welcomes members, determines needs, and effectively provides routine information concerning services; provides assistance and guidance when members have questions or problems. Looks for opportunities to explain and offer appropriate credit union services, providing referrals and meeting branch goals.
5. Assists with opening and closingprocedures.
6. Schedules, trains, and monitors the work of other tellers, provides input on performance reviews, coordinates teller activities.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3-5 years of Teller experience or similar experience in a retail setting. The LeadTeller must be available to work varied hours Monday-Friday between 8:00-5:30PM and willbe required to work Saturday mornings on a rotating basis from 9:00AMuntil 12:00 PM.
