Velocity Credit Union in North Austin is seeking a Lead Teller to serve as the friendly first point of contact for members, resolving financial matters and educating them about relevant products and services to improve their financial well-being.

You will bring 3–5 years of cash-handling experience, strong communication, and a customer-first mindset, supporting a fast-paced branch with flexible hours including Saturdays. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and a proactive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or vocational equivalent required.
• Three to five years of experience in a financial institution or within an environment with heavy cash handling.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills and proficiency in using common office applications and office equipment.
• Passion for providing outstanding customer service and a positive attitude.
• Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and organize work tasks.
• Experience controlling negotiable instruments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Ownership of the customer experience through issue resolution.
• Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared, and feedback and coaching are welcomed.
• Flexibility to work branch hours including Saturdays.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm with rotating Saturdays from 8:30am to 2:00pm. Schedules are subject to change based on branch needs.
