Job summary

Velocity Credit Union in Austin, TX is seeking an Account Resolution Specialist to actively listen, communicate effectively, and resolve delinquent accounts across consumer loans and credit cards. You will thrive in a fast-paced setting, solving problems and delivering value to our members.

Responsibilities include handling delinquent accounts, providing excellent member service, and collaborating with the team to reach mutual goals.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of collections and/or lending experience (phone or in person).
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal, written, listening skills; proficient with common office applications and equipment.
• Passion for outstanding customer service with strong problem-solving ability.
• Effective time management; able to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Be the point of contact for members, listening actively and communicating clearly while solving problems.
• Handle delinquent accounts for consumer loans, credit cards, and other loans.
• Present value of solutions and work toward mutual goals for members and Velocity Credit Union.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

What you bring to the team:

• Three to five years of collections and/or lending experience, including providing support to customers over the phone or in person.
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal, written, listening skills, and proficiency in using common office applications and office equipment.
• Passion for providing outstanding customer service with the ability to problem-solve
• Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and organize work tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Ownership of the customer experience through issue resolution.
• Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared and feedback and coaching are welcomed.
• Flexibility to work department hours including evenings and Saturdays

Your day-to-day

As a point of contact for our members, you will be an excellent active listener, outstanding communicator, and master problem solver. Account Resolution Specialists have the responsibility for the collection of all delinquent accounts of consumer loans, credit cards, and other loans. Your skills will include working in a fast-paced environment, presenting the value of solutions, and working toward mutual goals for the members and Velocity Credit Union.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm and occasional Saturdays 8:00am to 12:00pm or 9:00am to 1:00pm. Employees may be required to work late based on department needs.
