The Lead Technician works on customer sites in various environments, including new construction, remodels, and operating facilities. This role is responsible for adhering to Encore standards for Safety, Culture, and Customer Service.
Compensation Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Specific Responsibilities:
- Working independently or in teams
- Following safety guidelines and ensuring others do the same
- Understanding and completing scopes of work effectively
- Proficient with industry tools and testing equipment
- Leading projects of various sizes and managing multiple crews
- Effective communication, education, and delegation
Structured Cabling Lead Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting specifications, drawings, blueprints, schematics, and MOPs
- Knowledge of closet build-outs
- Installing various cable types, including low voltage power, fiber, twisted pair, audio, video, DAS, and security cables, both indoors and outdoors
- Using and terminating connectors to industry standards
- Terminating indoor and outdoor fiber following industry standards
- Testing copper and fiber with approved testers and managing test results
- Installing pathways for horizontal and backbone cables
- Troubleshooting cable plant and equipment
- Documenting work and providing daily updates
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Training and mentoring junior technicians
- Managing time and budget constraints
- Supervising installation teams under guidance
- Completing close-out and documentation procedures
- Procurement of materials collaboratively
- Ensuring safety training and PPE compliance
- Promoting a safety culture
- Interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Assisting with mechanical fabrication as needed

Knowledge:

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years experience in technology construction preferred; formal education in electronics advantageous.
