Job Description

The hourly range for this role is $18-$22 per hour Guaranteed Minimum and $28-$40 Flat Rate based on experience.

You will be expected to help drive sales and guest count. We are looking for a professional technician who wants to help fix and grow a shop. Must be detail-oriented and capable of coaching and training entry-level techs. You must have your own tools and a valid driver’s license. We seek a team leader and team player.

The Technician role is full-time or part-time and is an hourly position based on business needs. Responsibilities include conducting basic vehicle diagnostics, performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance, and delivering exceptional 5-star service through effective communication and meeting guest expectations.

Responsibilities

1. Perform basic vehicle diagnostics to identify required repairs.
2. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection process on every guest vehicle, documenting and communicating additional services and repairs; audit courtesy inspections performed by general service technicians.
3. Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
4. Maintain store cleanliness and ensure it is guest-ready, adhering to company standards.
5. Perform services safely according to Monro’s safety standards, including wheel torque and oil safety procedures.
6. Test drive vehicles following Monro’s Road Test policy, using designated routes and adhering to traffic laws.
7. Follow company policies, government standards, and safety regulations, including environmental and OSHA standards.
8. Maintain technical knowledge through completion of Monro University training courses.
9. Operate and maintain all equipment safely, including lifts, welders, and brake lathes.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
