Job summary

Ascendum Machinery in Georgia seeks a Shop Foreman to provide hands-on technical leadership in a busy service shop for heavy equipment. You will assign work, mentor technicians, and ensure repairs and maintenance meet safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with service leadership, parts personnel, and customers to resolve equipment concerns, monitor progress, and keep work orders advancing toward completion and billing.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment.
• Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
• Prioritize competing repair needs and guide technicians through assignments.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and electronic work orders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shop workflow and assign jobs based on technician skills and priorities.
• Provide hands-on assistance with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Monitor repair progress and coordinate parts and resources.
• Inspect completed repairs and confirm equipment is ready for return to service.
• Coach technicians on procedures, safety, and documentation.
