Job summary

Ascendum Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform timely repairs and maintenance on construction equipment at customer sites, following established procedures and prioritizing safety.

You will operate and calibrate service trucks, order parts, complete paperwork, and maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers, with DOT and safety compliance. Experience with hydraulics, electronics, and diesel engines is valued.

Qualifications

• Trade school completion in appropriate field.
• Computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a positive manner.
• Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA and Ascendum Machinery requirements.
• Aptitude for repairing, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment.
• Mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment; hydraulics, electronics, diesel engines.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written documentation.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and customer-oriented; reports and records maintained.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to work with others.
• Own a personal set of tools and flexibility for hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair and service machinery for customer satisfaction.
• Maintain service truck and tools per company requirements.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date on safety, product training, and goals.
• Complete work with minimal re-work and under minimal supervision.
• Order parts through Ascendum Parts to finish assignments.
• Follow all safety requirements and complete DOT paperwork.
• Document work clearly and maintain SOC/records as required.
• Contribute to a clean, safe work site and environmentally mindful practices.
