Security 101 in Richmond is hiring a Lead Commercial Electronic Security Technician to install and service CCTV, access control, IP cameras, intrusion detection, and video analytics for new builds and upgrades. You will lead project installations, ensure high-quality workmanship, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role requires 4+ years in the field, 2+ years as a project lead, strong networking knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years’ experience installing commercial access control, IP-based video systems and intrusion alarms.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as project lead responsible for complete project supervision.
• Must be process oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to support customer systems via remote diagnostics with professionalism.
• Knowledge and practical experience with networking is essential.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Security 101 – Richmond is now recruiting for a Lead Commercial Electronic Security Technician that has experience installing commercial electronic security devices. Primarily CCTV, Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems for new construction projects and modifications for existing security systems.

Hourly wage varies from $35.00 to $40.00, non-exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience.

The Right Candidate:

• Must have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience installing, commercial access control, IP-based video systems and intrusion alarm systems.

Current certification or proficiency in one of the following is a must:

• Access Control: Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath.
• Alarm: DMP, Honeywell, DSC.
• DCJS licensed

Responsibilities:

Installing, terminating, configuring, and testing enterprise security systems with minimal supervision. System knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems, and visitor management.

• Leading a team on project installations.
• Managing quality control and providing fanatical customer service
• Taking responsibility for and tracking project progress.

Successfully demonstrate installation, termination, test and perform maintenance on the following hardware from leading manufacturers like Von Duprin, Assa Abloy, HID, Honeywell, etc.

• EREX (Emergency Request to Exit Buttons)
• REX (Request to Exit) PIR
• Motion Sensors
• NVR's and DVR's

Education:

• High School (or GED) minimum requirement
• Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred)

Security 101 is a DFWP and EOE organization with a team-oriented work environment. Must have a clean driving record; pass a background investigation and a drug-test screening. Must also be able to work in both office and outside environments, climb a ladder, use a forklift, and carry boxes weighing 50lbs.
