Job summary

Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Addictions & Dependency Program seeks a Lead Technician to supervise ARC Technicians, manage scheduling and supplies, and oversee client urinalysis collection and medication distribution. The role requires on-call availability and strong teamwork within a culturally aware framework.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year experience in Human Services field required.
  • Supervisory/Management experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with chemical dependency issues and treatment options.
  • Understanding of Native American cultural values and traditions.

Responsibilities

Job description

Division: Addictions & Dependency (A&D) Program

Reports to: Ahn-ji-be-ma-h-diz Recovery Center (ARC) Program Manager

Work Hours: Varied (40 hours per week)

LLBO Status: Non-exempt

Safety Sensitive: Yes

Summary: Maintains compliance with program rules and regulations, and supervises Ahn-Ji-Be-Mah-Diz (ARC) technicians, and is responsible for staff scheduling, management of program supplies, collection and process of client urinalysis medication pickup, preparation and distribution.

Education Requirements and Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D) required. AA/BA or C/LADC preferred.

One year experience in Human Services field required. Supervisory/Management experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

Familiarity with chemical dependency issues and treatment options. Familiarity with the Leech Lake Reservation and surrounding area. Good oral/written communication and customer service skills.

Ability to interface effectively with others.

Understanding of Native American cultural values, lifestyles and traditions. Possess a high degree of professional ethics.

If chemically dependent, must document one (1) year�f chemical free sobriety. Must be available 24-hour/on call. Must have a valid working contact number. Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively.

Good attendance and punctuality is a must. Native American Preference.

Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory for all Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe A&D positions.

Supervisory Duties:

Supervise, train, evaluate and provide general guidance to the ARC Technicians.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Insure program is in compliance with rules and regulations. Prepare technician schedules.

Manage program supplies keeping inventory and purchasing. Collect and process client urinalysis.

Pick-up, Prepare, distribute, monitor and document client's prescribed medication. Fill in for technician on duty as needed.

Provides supervision of household tasks.

Cook, wash dishes, grocery shopping and clean when needed, provide periodic change of linen as needed. Monitors, supervises and documents daily resident activity and behaviors.

Provides active support to resident's sobriety goals.

Provides approved transportation for resident's appointments, outside AA Meetings and/or cultural activities. Assign resident's job duties.

Supervise scheduled in-house meetings, insuring resident's participation. Assist all program staff in fulfilling goals and objectives.

Assist/refer clients to appropriate personnel.

Answer phones and route to appropriate staff, take messages, respond to routine inquiries and document all calls. Attend all required meetings and training sessions. Lead program planning meetings.

Complies with all program standards and policies.

Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times. All other related duties as assigned.

Sedentary work.
