Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer to join our Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD team under Army DEVCOM, C5ISR, QRC contract. The role focuses on creating and maintaining technical documentation, governance artifacts, and baselines to support operational and strategic decision-making.

You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to produce compliant, clear deliverables and ensure accurate information across Army IETMs, TMs, and secured documentation, leveraging

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of relevant experience required; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Proven experience developing technical documentation with writing standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience creating project schedules and management tools, including POA&Ms, for timely delivery.
• Extensive knowledge of MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-40051E, and ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207-2026.
• Strong understanding of Army terminology, structure and writing styles.
• Experience with Army IETMs and TMs per MIL-STDs.
• Experience with secured documentation at a secured location.
• Experience communicating with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Author and edit Army IETMs and TMs per MIL-STDs.
