Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The role supports a fast-paced Quick Reaction Capabilities Integration team under the Army DEVCOM, C5ISR, QRC contract.

Responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and governing technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating with engineers, PMs, and SMEs to deliver compliant, clear materials for decision-making and mission success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with five years of experience, or four years in lieu of degree.
• Proven experience developing technical documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Experience creating schedules and using project management tools (POA&Ms).
• Strong command of MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-40051E, and ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207-2026.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Army terminology and formats.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation, maintenance, and management of technical documentation and governance artifacts.
• Ensure information is communicated clearly to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and SMEs; act as primary authority on technical authorship.
• Produce high-caliber deliverables aligned with customer formats and standards.
• Create and edit Army IETMs and TMs; support secured documentation at a secured location.
