Job summary

Amtrak seeks a Lead Technical Trainer ET to plan, develop and deliver training for Electric Traction Lineman/Substation personnel, ensuring compliance with CFR, OSHA and ANSI. You will manage training records, coordinate sessions, and mentor instructors within Engineering.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 6+ years in Electric Traction, with Class A qualifications and readiness to obtain AMT-2 within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or transportation or related field.
• Six years in Electric Traction as qualified lineman/substation employee or equivalent.
• Qualified as Class A lineman / substation; willingness to obtain required certifications within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, develop and deliver training for Electric Traction personnel.
• Manage training records and enrollments in the LMS.
• Coordinate materials, classrooms, and equipment for sessions.
• Lead projects and mentor other instructors in course delivery.
