Job summary

League School for Autism in Walpole, MA is seeking a Head Teacher for Severe Disabilities, All Levels. The role offers an annual salary range of $69,500–$80,000 depending on degree, license and certification status, plus a $5,000 signing bonus paid within 6 months.

The program educates students with autism and related social communication challenges; licensure support is provided. MA frameworks guide curriculum; classrooms are small and collaborative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• MA certification in Severe Disabilities/All Levels required.
• Autism experience preferred; licensure support provided.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to develop IEPs within classroom and community.
• Develop behavioral plans, sensory diets and social goals.
• Collect and analyze data on student progress throughout the year.
• Implement and monitor all components of treatment programs.
• Prepare lesson plans for all students and maintain schedules.
• Attend IEP reviews, re-evaluations and team meetings.
