Job summary

League School for Autism in Walpole, MA is seeking a Head Teacher, Severe Disabilities for all levels in a full-time day program. Salary ranges from $69,500 to $80,000 annually, depending on degree, license, and certification.

Responsibilities include developing IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, data collection, behavior plans, and delivering instruction per MA frameworks for students with autism and related social-communication challenges. Licensure support provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education/Education (Master’s Degree preferred).
• Current MA certification in Severe Disabilities/All Levels required; autism experience appreciated.
• Safety Care, CPR, and First Aid certifications; valid driver’s license; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates to develop IEPs and uses eSPED with the team.
• Develops behavioral plans, sensory diets, and social-pragmatic programming.
• Collects data on student progress and analyzes trends.
• Implements treatment components per IEPs and BIPs.
• Builds therapeutic relationships and manages classroom schedules.
• Attends IEP reviews, re-evaluations, and team meetings.
• Prepares lesson plans suitable for all students; documents curriculum.
• Performs duties to operate the school effectively.
