Job summary

League School for Autism in Walpole, MA is seeking a Head Teacher for Moderate Special Needs PreK-8. The annual salary range is $69,500 to $80,000 depending on degree, license, and certification status.

The program educates pre-k/elementary students with autism and related social communication challenges. The curriculum follows MA Curriculum Frameworks/Common Core Standards and is tailored to student needs, with classrooms no larger than 8 students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with current MA license in MODERATE Special Needs.
• Safety Care, CPR and First Aid certifications; training provided by League School.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass nationwide background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with team to develop Individual Education Programs (IEPs).
• Develops behavioral intervention plans and social pragmatic programming.
• Collects and analyzes student performance data to track progress.
• Implements components of treatment programs per IEPs and BIPs.
• Builds therapeutic relationships with students and maintains appropriate boundaries.
• Attends IEP reviews and related meetings.
