Job summary

Endeavor Schools in Baltimore Montessori-Canton is seeking a Lead Montessori Teacher to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum based on Montessori pedagogy and to lead engaging activities promoting cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

You will ensure children's safety, monitor progress, and foster a collaborative, welcoming classroom where families and staff alike feel supported.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Early Childhood Development preferred.
• MSDE certification or equivalent required (90 clock hours).
• Montessori credentials preferred; willingness to learn Montessori philosophy.
• Strong communication with parents and staff; patient and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative learning activities aligning with Montessori pedagogy.
• Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Monitor and document children's progress and development.
• Create a harmonious environment for children and teachers.

Education

Are You Qualified?

If you have the following, we would love to speak with you:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development / CDA Certified preferred.
• 2 years prior experience working in a certified child development center
• 90 clock hours or equivalent of approved early childhood coursework - MSDE certification
• Montessori credentials preferred; a willingness to learn and follow the Montessori philosophy
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required.
• The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role.
