Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is looking for a Lead Teacher in Illinois to guide and mentor fellow teachers, implement age-appropriate curricula, and foster a safe, engaging learning environment for young children.

You will collaborate with parents and center leadership to support enrollment and program quality, bringing warmth, professionalism and a passion for early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills; ability to multi-task effectively.
• Active CDA Credential or eligibility for NAEYC candidacy.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2-3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Able to lift 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Able to communicate with children and parents in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
