Job summary

UCP of Central Florida seeks an educational assistant to support PreK classrooms across our campuses. You will implement lesson plans, assist in materials setup, and monitor progress with data collection.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of classroom experience, especially with young children with special needs, and hold an Associate’s degree or equivalent with required trainings. On-site role with strong teamwork and family communication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent college credits (60) or CDACPR/First Aid Training.
• 45 Hour DCF Training (or complete within first 90 days).
• CDACPR/First Aid Training may be required or completed during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Implements lesson plans including instructional groups per teacher’s direction.
• Assists in planning and developing/setting up instructional materials for classroom.
• Assist in administering assessments/program monitoring.
• Document academic progress through observations and data collection.
• Implement behavior techniques and classroom management consistently with data collection.
• Perform teacher duties in absence of lead teacher.
• Provide caretaking/housekeeping duties as needed (e.g., changing students, keeping classroom clean).
• Maintain positive staff and parent interactions and communication.
• Attend required trainings, meetings and events.
• Ensure administration is informed of parent and student concerns and complaints.
• Comply with procedures set forth by UCP and state/federal agencies.
