Job summary

The role requires a minimum high school diploma (CDA/AAE preferred), 2 years in licensed childcare, background check, and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; CDA or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a lead or assistant teacher in a licensed childcare facility.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting as required by Tennessee.
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them before start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a play-based curriculum tailored to ages 3-4.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized classroom meeting state licensing standards.
• Assess and document student progress; share updates with parents.
• Lead and mentor assistant teachers to ensure cohesive classroom management.
• Guide children through potty training, social interactions, and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and school leadership.
