Job summary

Child Care Resources Inc in Franklin, TN is seeking a Lead Teacher for ages 2-3. You will design play-based lessons, nurture cognitive and social development, and partner with families to support each child’s growth.

The role includes mentoring a team of assistants and ensuring a safe, licensed classroom. The position requires 2+ years of relevant teaching experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; CDA or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working as a lead or assistant teacher in a licensed childcare facility.
• Deep understanding of the milestones of toddlers and young children.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting as required by the state of Tennessee.
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a play-based curriculum tailored to children aged 2-3.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom meeting state licensing standards.
• Assess and document individual progress, sharing updates with parents.
• Lead and mentor assistant teachers to ensure cohesive classroom management.
• Guide children through potty training, social interactions and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with staff and school leadership to support student growth.
