Job summary

Beacon Hill Schools is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher for our Athens, Watkinsville, and Bogart locations. You will develop age-appropriate curriculum, foster literacy and social skills, and nurture a love for learning in a preschool setting.

The role requires 1–2 years of licensed childcare teaching experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong communication with families. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Associate’s, TCD, TCC, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early education
• Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day
