Beacon Hill Schools is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher for our Athens, Watkinsville, and Bogart locations. You will nurture young minds, foster a love for learning, and support growth in a safe preschool environment. This role runs Monday-Friday with competitive pay based on education and experience.

Join our team to contribute to a nurturing, healthy space for children and partner with families, staff, and leadership to promote excellent early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Associate’s, TCD, TCC, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early education.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum promoting literacy, social skills, and physical development.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Manage classroom behavior to promote positive interactions among students.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and classroom activities.
• Foster a love for learning through creative play, hands-on activities, and structured lessons.

Summary

Pay: $17.00-$21.00/hour, based on education and experience
