Job summary

Kids N Fitness East in Decatur, IL is seeking a Lead Teacher for Two-Year-Olds. This role supports early childhood development through guided lesson plans, safety, and family communication; requires a CDA or 6 ECE credits and the ability to pass background checks, with a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm schedule and hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans and curricula weekly across all areas of child development and follow classroom schedule.
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each child and maintain a clean, organized classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment portfolio and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences.
• Meet physical requirements: lift up to 40 lbs and perform daily classroom duties.

Kids N Fitness East, in Decatur, are licensed childcare centers seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups:

Two-Year-Olds

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a CDA or at least 6 ECE college credits, and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous lead teacher experience!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

Compensation: $18 - $20/hour, based on education and experience.

Main Job Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.

• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
