Job summary

Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking a Lead Childcare Teacher to craft a structured, engaging learning environment for young children and to support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

You will lead with the Assistant Teacher, ensure a safe classroom aligned with DECAL standards, and collaborate on an age-appropriate curriculum while maintaining open communication with families. Strong leadership and a genuine commitment to early childhood education are essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet Georgia Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
• CPR/First Aid certification current or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• CDA, TCC, or Paraprofessional certificate required; background check.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Assistant Teacher to provide daily care and support to the children in the classroom.
• Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment that meets Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to implement an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
• Monitor and document developmental milestones, and maintain regular communication with families.
• Ensure adherence to all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rated compliance.
